Metaquery Powercenter Repository Reports

MetaQuery is a tool to query against PowerCenter repository reports for key properties such as session, workflow, mapping and transformation objects.

The MetaQuery tool, which was earlier, a standalone Informatica tool, is now embedded with Support Console. MetaQuery can be used to query against PowerCenter repository reports for some of the key properties in sessions, workflows, mapping, transformation and permissions objects.

 

The following are some of the features of MetaQuery:

  • It supports repository in Oracle, DB2, and SQLServer.
  • It displays a list of properties for sessions, workflows, mappings that can be used for querying purposes, on the left pane (currently, it supports different properties).
  • A MetaQuery PowerCenter Repository report can be generated on any of the properties selected in the left pane. The report is displayed in the right pane.
  • The MetaQuery PowerCenter Repository report can be exported to CSV format or sent as an email attachment.
  • It has two level access privileges.

Querying the PowerCenter Repository



MetaQuery is part of Support Console now. Following are the system requirements to install Support Console.


Minimum System Requirements

Before you install Support Console, you will have to verify the following Minimum System Requirements :

  • Support Console is supported on Windows 2003, Windows 2008, SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 9, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.
  • It requires minimum of 4 GB RAM.
  • It requires x86 Chip Set.

You can use the following browsers to access the Support Console :

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer
  • Mozilla Firefox


Third-Party Software

To access the Support Console URL, you will need an Adobe Flash plug-in (version 10 or higher) on the browser.
