I have the problem withy this below scenerio,
Our source is XML (.XSD). And need to develop simple pass trough mapping. Suppose we have 10 columns in our target(Flat file). but these columns are present in the source in different Groups and different subgroups.
So can anyone suggest how to design the mapping ?
When you have groups & sub groups there are two ways to solve
1) Using joined joing the parent to its sub groups and reading data
2) Using normalizer and creating levels
We are facing similar sort of issue we need to import XML/XSD file and our target are 10 flatfiles.
As mentioned by Vidya earlier "columns are present in the source in different Groups and different subgroups".
We are using 'Heirarchy Relationship-- Normalized' option while importing XSD source. but unable to load the data in target files which needs data from different groups.
For single group in to a flatfile we are able to load data. Problem we are facing is with files which need data from multiple groups.
Do you have any idea on this? Any help will be great..
when you import xml in informatica it creates primary key and foreign key based on groups and sub-groups.
you can use joiner to join different sub-groups on basis of these keys.
