We are running on a Windows box. I have a workflow scheduled to run every 2 hours on the even hours (06,08,10, etc). After Daylight Savings Time took place my workflow is now scheduled on the odd hours. Is there a fix for this?
As an FYI, we had to unschedule the workflow, then edit the schedule and reschedule the workflow to get it back in sync, however, this is not a fix, it's a work-around....
DST should not affect the schedule as such. IT might be running on odd timings because the server might be located
at a different location altogether. Are u viewing ur information from the same location as your server?
May we know your timings and the difference + the location from where you are viewing, the location of the server?
Knowing a little more details could fetch you the reason.
I agree, it should not affect it. However, our servers are local, the workflow was scheduled on the
even hours last Friday. It's been running for a couple of weeks with no issue. Saturday DST took place
and the scheduled changed to the odd hours. We recycled the Informatica services and that did not
correct the issue. The only way we were able to correct the issue was to check out the workflow and
schedule it for the next even hour that day and check the workflow back in. Then the schedule went
back to normal (even hours) and has been running fine ever since. The only variable in this issue
I had the same problem too. It was off for few workflows.
I am guessing it is a small bug that informatica have to fix it. But i have a work around for now which works even if the day light saving changes the time.
Edit the scheduler, click on schedule.
Under Schedule Options:, DO NOT use "Run Every" but use Customized Repeat instead.
This will take care of the scheduled time even if the time changes because of the day light saving.
Thanks Sandeep, we will give this a try!!!
This is what Informatica told our Admin to do. Thanks for your help!!!!
This is what Informatica Tech Support told our Admin to do. Guess we'll find out in the fall if it works for us. Thanks for all your help!!!
