Unable to import mappings into PowerCenter

Hi,

I have a number of mappings developed over the years in version 8 and, after an upgrade, in version 9. I took a copy of these mappings for future use.

Having recently moved jobs, I am now trying to import these mappings into PowerCenter version 8 with the intention of making re-use but they will not import for me.

My question is this:

If PowerCenter version 9 was in use, would I be able to import them successfully?

Many thanks.

    Yes, your can import the 8 version ETL(Program XML file) into PWC 9.

    Remarks:

    If your repository code-page is the different, you should edit the code-page in your XML manually.

        Hello,

        Checked the KB for you. KB-101417

        This is an version problem on exporting XML before PowerCenter 8.6.1 HF2 (Solved after HF2).

        I think there will not happen in version 9 exporting.

        Solution:

        To import the file without the hotfix2 do the following:

        1. Remove the following line in the XML file and save the file.
          FIELDPROPERTY ="0"
        2. Import the object.
