Source : Subscribers
Target1 : T_Subscribers (Location1)
Target2: T_Subscribers (Location2)
Assume I have three ODBC connections for Souce, two targets . I need to load the data from Subscribers(Source) to two Targets..
Please advise how to get those tables in my Target designer.. They are having same name but they are different dbs..
You don't need any customization on mapping level.
In workflow manager, create 3 relational connections.
1.) Source ODBC
2.) Target 1 with target 1 ODBC connection string
3.) Target 2 with target 2 ODBC connection string
In session configuration,
Set target 1 with relation connection 1 and target 2 with relation connection 2.
Import the target table and rename the table. In the session level ,we have option to provide the table name.Declare a variable and pass the value as subscribers for the variable.
Use the variable in the session properies for the renamed target.
Create two relational connections each pointing to different database. When importing tables into pwercenter, rename them to be unique. Now at the session level, just mention the target table name in the format dbname.dbo.tablebname.
I hope this will be useful along with suggestions from Sasi and Felix.
Yes, you can create multiple repository service
(REP-SVC) and integration service for one node
One repository service need one schema (If you use Oracle) as repository.
In general, you can have multiple REP-SVC to work with many repository in one node
sir, i am using oracle database along with XE String. but while creating another repostiroy it's showing error that you cannot create.
i have created infa8_rep_srvc repostiroy in xe string. but i want create another for devlopement repo
so can you tell me in brief. what should be name of repositroy..
One connection string of your OS pointing to one unique schema in oracle.
Let's say you have Schema REP_A and REP_B in oracle.
One PowerCenter repository service need one unique schema, two repository service cannot point to the same schema. So, you create
1. REP_SVC_A connect to connection string of REP_A (1st repository created)
2. REP_SVC_B try to connect to connection string of REP_A (it doesn't work)
What you need is to build a new one and connect to a new connection string
3. REP_SVC_B try to connect to connection string of REP_B (2nd repository should be created)
yeah you are right Felix.i would like to tell lot of thanks to you for gave me effort but problem is that i am using oracle 10g EXPRESS EDTION which having XE connection string.so when i create new repository this error is showing:
The Repository Service was created, but the service could not be enabled. You must enable the service to create the content. The following error occurred while attempting to create the content. Error - [PCSF_10342] Exception occurred: [Unable to start service [REP_SVC_A] on any node specified for the service.].
