I have powerexchange 9.1 HF1, But i dont have the navigator and i dont see any files like that. Where can we get the PWX navigator setup.
PWX Navigator is 32bit software only.
If you install using the pwx*win32_x86.zip file, you will get PWX Navigator.
Normally, PWX Navigator is installed on deverloper & admin desktops or laptops.
PWX & PC must both be 32bit or both be 64bit to work with each other, so normally PWX 64 bit is installed on the PC Integration Service box.
Thanks Dan for the quick reply.
I have a doubt my Powercenter server is on windows server 2008 which is 64 bit and database is SQL server 2008.
So i have to do all my reasearch on 64 bit PC then i can use navigator (32 Bit) will it not create any problems.
Also when we say i need to use adaptor @ database side what will that be .. Like PWX for Oracle that has to be installed on ORACLE instance or at server side.
You will need 64bit PWX installed on the PC IS box for when you run PC sessions with PWX sources.
You will need 64bit PWX installed on the box where you run the 64bit PC tools (designer, etc.) for when you do "import from PWX" to get the PWX sources and/or targets.
You will need a separate 32bit PWX install on a Windows box to get PWX Navigator.
Somewhere, you will need PWX installed, with a PWX Listener running, to talk to the source database.
If that source is Oracle, it could be running on any Linux/Unix/Windows type box. doesn't have to be the DB server box.
If you are planning to do Oracle CDC, then it depends.
For PWX LogMiner CDC for Oracle, it can be any box.
For PWX Express CDC for Oracle, it needs to be a box with the same endian-ness as the DB server (both Big-Endian, or both Little-Endian).
