I need help with teh following scenario.
-->I have a mapping which has 2 source qualifiers and the data for the 1st one is coming from a table and for the 2nd one is coming from a flat file.
-->SQ of table has columns A,B,C
-->SQ of flat file has columns A,B,C which are hard coded.
-->Both the SQ's are joined to 2 different expressions and then the results of teh expressions are joined to the UNION transofrmation.
-->Now at the flat file I will have to introduce a LOOKUP transformation such that columns A and C come from flat file SQ but column B comes from the data of the 1st SQ.
-->I created the same but I am not able to join the lookup to the expression which has the otehr ports conencted from the flat file SQ.
Below is the picture of where I am struck at.
Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks in Advance.
Pls clarify me, how your Lkp has originated from the top flow rather than the bottom one? I guess top flow is related to DB SQ but not the file SQ.
Nikhila, to the best of my knowledge, an SQ lookup can only be made on a pipeline. To be able to do that, the flow should end at Source definition followed by SQ. You can't do a pipeline lookup on a complete source to target flow.
Cannot lookup from different sources as mentioned.
Instead, use lkp from the flatfile pipleline on the database table and sql override in the lkp for the join you made.
