We have a requirement to load the target DB from source flat file's without using Informatica mappings.
Thats why we are checking the alternatives now. Is it possible to generate SQL script from Informatica mapping ?
Through Informatica write sql scripts to a file/table through expression transformation, by appropriate concatenation of input values. So that you can generate 'n' no. of DML statments and excute them at DB.
Hi will i,
You are correct. We solved this issue with this method only.
Could you please explain in detail..
I have a regular mapping from source to target with some manipulates and transformations.
One of the target field have to contain the insert sql statement (that inserts the record into the target table).
My question is if there is any way to get this query in the mapping not by concatenate the input values to a "query" field through expression transformation.
We can see the query in the session log, so I think there is a way to get it in the mapping.
Thanks in advance,
your above question is bit confusion.
First you are saying with Informatica mapping you want to load data from table to file.
Secound you are asking is it possible to generate sql scripts from informatica.
If you don't want to use informatica mapping, just u can open your source using excel based on delimiter which u use, then write insert script for 1st row then u can propagate to other records, u can take that script fire it to database.
for secound already suggested previous posts.
